Government Treatment & Policy for Low-carbon Cities Development

Under the background of global climate change, our country's low carbon economy development faces double pressures from international and domestic. Building the saving-type society, the development of low carbon city is an ideal choice. This paper expounds the related concept of low carbon development, summarizes the practical experience of low carbon urban construction in developed countries. Based on the real situation in China, it proposes that the government should play a leading role in the development of low carbon city, and gives some practical policies.
