摘要
Simulation of the forward magnetic spectrometer of the EXL has been performed using the Monte Carlo simulation toolkit Geant4. Transfer matrices were used to account for the effect of the magnetic fields, instead of direct implementation of the magnetic fields of the lenses. Since using transfer matrices was not possible within the current structure of Geant4, the toolkit was improved to accommodate transfer matrices. Finally, a charge state separation for (132)Sn(50+) and (132)Sn(49+) was successfully demonstrated.
