Evaluation on the Independent Innovation Capability of High-tech Industry in Shandong Province

Based on the important role of high-tech and independent innovation capability, the paper makes an assessment to high-tech industry in Shandong Province. This paper compiles an index system of independent innovation capability of high-tech industries at first. Then in the light of the index system, data information in 31 regions is analyzed with the method of Factor Analysis and the ranking of independent innovation capability of high-tech industry in Shandong is defined. In addition, apart from advantages and strengths, shortcomings and weaknesses also rise to the surface. As a result, in order to make sustainable development in Shandong possible in the long run, the paper puts forward to proposals to compensate for weaknesses resulting in the independent innovation of high-tech industries in Shandong Province.
