摘要
Although a substantial number of in vitro turnout growth simulation models have appeared in the literature, simulation models for the in vivo case are rare and still in their infancy. The aim of this paper is to present a novel algorithmic description of the in vivo turnout growth and response to radiation therapy. Long-term objectives of the software under development include the three dimensional insight into the biological mechanisms involved in turnout development in vivo, the 'in silico' (virtual) experimentation on the candidate therapeutic schemes for a given patient and the individualized optimization of radiotherapy based on the patient's imaging, histopathologic and genetic data.
