摘要
In this paper we formulate the edge detection of the image composed of different kinds of texture fields as a combinatorial optimization and propose the texture edge defection method using genetic algorithms. The proposed edge detection method consists of two parts, which are the search of the candidate edge sequence according to the edge probability of the small regions and the combinatorial optimization of the candidate edge sequence using genetic algorithms. The advantage of this method lies in the quite simple tactics for the combinatorial optimization of the candidate edge sequence and the processing time is considerably slashed in. comparison with the previous texture segmentation method using genetic algorithms.
