Inflection points on the light curves of type-Ia supernovae

摘要
The positions of inflection points on the light curves of type-Ia supernovae are determined. The distributions of absolute magnitudes M-B and M-V are studied for them for the first time. The standard deviation of M-B at the inflection point is similar to 0.(m)47, which is approximately a factor of 1.5 smaller than that at the point of maximum. The interstellar extinction for type-Ia supernovae is shown to be 0.(m)9 in B, on the average.
