P-T-x diagram of the Co-Ti-O system

摘要
The static method of phase equilibria investigations in a vacuum circulation assembly combined with the electric moving force (EMF) method and followed by X-ray phase analysis of the quenched solid phases was used to construct the phase diagram of the Co-Ti-O system in the coordinates 'oxygen prrssure-temperature-composition' (T = 1073-1273 K, log(P-O2/Pa) = 0.67 to 12). Based on the temperature dependences of the equilibrium oxygen partial pressures for the phase equilibria discovered, the Gibbs energy changes of formation for the compounds CoTiO3 and Co2TiO4 from oxides were calculated. The possible appearance (at higher temperatures) of phase equilibria with the participation of CoTi2O5 is discussed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
