摘要
We have studied the influence of the lift force on particle deposition in turbulent wall-bounded flows using the near-wall asymptotic solution of the kinetic equation for the particle PDF. This influence is significant since the wall-normal lift force decays linearly with the distance to the wall exceeding greatly the quadratically decaying wall-normal drag force. We derive the power-law dependence of the deposition velocity from Stokes number in the diffusion-impaction regime, which is in good agreement with experimental data. We have shown the crucial role of wall correction to the expressions for the drag and lift force for a correct prediction of particle deposition rate in the diffusion-impaction regime.
