Modernization Process for ZCP Platforms Based on Architecture Driven Modernization Approach

Nowadays, numerous Zakat Calculation Platforms (ZCP) are in continuous incremental progress due to the high demands on such Islamic platforms. The multitude of these ZCP platforms, although it has advantages, it also presents a number of disadvantages. Actually, over the past few years, we can see the enormous increase of the use of these platforms that presents a number of disadvantages viz; they are inflexible and difficult to maintain and change; they do not meet the new requirements that have emerged in the field of software engineering; they were developed to run solely on one platform; and more. To address these issues, in this paper, an approach based on OMG's ADM (Architecture Driven Modernization) initiative for the generation of a metamodel modernized is proposed. The key aim of this metamodel is to modernize the existing ZCP platforms.
