摘要
A novel approach to fabricate poly(propylene)/clay nanocomposites under an electric field without adding any compatiblizer was proposed. The electrically activated poly(propylene)/clay nanocomposites show enhanced rheological properties with the disappearance of the characteristic peak in X-ray diffraction. Transmission electron microscopy was used to confirm the microstructural changes of the nanocomposites. Electric field was found to facilitate destruction of the layer-stacking and separation of the silicate layers.
