摘要
This paper addresses the need to establish a pedagogical pattern language for engineering education that includes aspects relevant to the use of learning objects. The three distinct areas of engineering education requirements, learning objects, and pedagogical patterns are outlined and related. The need for, and processes required to, establish a pattern language for engineering education are identified and defined. It is concluded that the development of pedagogical patterns leading to a consistent pattern language for engineering education, which includes e-leaming aspects, would be a useful tool to assist in the development of engineering curriculum.
