Tasks of the information management at a German major bank -: A tool-supported case study -

For a long time a strategic information management (IM) is investigated in the field of business informatics. Nevertheless, in this area exits the biggest necessity in the tool development. The navigation system TecNavigator is the first attempt of the strategic and administrative task support. The application SecNavigator is a tool for the digitalisation of the so-called information technology (IT) basic protection. Therefore, this tool supports the security management tasks. Tivoli forms the interface for the operational level. In this paper the information management in a German major bank is discussed. In this case study the tasks and their information-technical support are explained. The main topic of this paper is the tool TecNavigator because it supports the important tasks of IM at strategic and administrative level.
