Three-dimensional analysis of closure in fatigue crack growth

摘要
A theoretical analysis is performed for fatigue crack closure in a through-thickness cracked body based on a three-dimensional strip yield model. The effects of stress state and thickness on crack closure is discussed. The present results coincide very well with three-dimensional finite element results.
