Vendor-selection method in the stage of supply chain operation

Vendor-selection is a multicriteria evaluation problem with qualitative factors and quantitative factors. This paper analyzes the various factors of vender-selection in the stage of supply chain operation and the interaction between them, then introduces a vendor evaluation architecture system. It utilizes the triangle fuzzy function to show qualitative factors relation, and introduces the vendor evaluation method on the basis of AHP. The method can be classified into four periods: (1) confirming the coefficients of factors on the basis of AHP; (2) dimensional analysis on quantitative factors; (3) fuzzy analysis on qualitative factors; (4) synthetical evaluation of the various factors. Finally it gives the examples to validate the conclusion.
