摘要
In this work, the dust effect on the 1-MW photovoltaic power plant at Tafila Technical University has been evaluated. The evaluation of the dust effect was conducted to one zone (zone number two) out of twelve zones of the plant. Zone two has 606 photovoltaic modules and seven inverters with 22 degrees tilt angle distributed on 986 m(2). PVSyst Solar Simulator has been used to model and simulate the given zone of the plant. Using this software, the effect of dust and losses cost have been evaluated and estimated. Both the energy produced and the energy lost due to soiling and dust have been illustrated in graphical form. A recommendation has been given to decrease this loss of energy.
