[60]Fullerene reacts with 1,8-bis(bromomethyl)naphthalene in the presence of KI/18-crown-6 to form a C-60 derivative with a seven-membered ring fused to a [6,6] junction (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
