With the closure of the 20th century, global economic integration paces its steps more rapidly, which threatens the security of national industries of developing countries. Following China's entry into WTO, multinational enterprises (MNE) "marched" into China, confronting it with the challenge of industrial invasion. The author of this article believes that a country's industry as a whole is a social ecosystem formed by various enterprises and the market climate around them, and that the NINE industrial invasion has similar eco-mechanism with foreign species invasion. Based on this belief, this article, for the first time, presents the ecological research approach to the study of industrial invasion. It attempts to introduce into this field the recent results of study in species invasion ecology, to disclose the ecological mechanism of industrial invasion, and thereby to put forward protective and controlling strategies for China to cope with the invasion. The presentation provides a new perspective and is expected to help in producing more research results so as to contribute to China's fight against industrial invasion.
