Estimating System Penalties of Spectrally-Shaped Crosstalk on Wide-Bandwidth DWDM Signals

摘要
Crosstalk with diverse spectral profiles are experimentally generated with a programmable-spectrum WSS to determine transmission penalties for 40G DPSK signals with 40G DPSK and DQPSK interferers. Measured penalties confirm simulation results and demonstrate high correlation with the weighted crosstalk parameter.
