Study on the Influencing Factors of Theme Park Development: A Case Study of Beijing

Beijing is one of the core regions that have developed theme parks in the first wave of construction upsurge; as a result, problems existing in theme park development are much more typical and representative in Beijing. Therefore, this paper summarized the successful experience and failure lessons of theme parks in Beijing to guide the development of theme parks in Beijing in the future. This paper analyzed the development of theme parks in Beijing by induction and empirical analysis method. Categories and spatial distribution characteristics of theme parks were first examined. Factors influencing the development of theme parks were then identified and discussed. Finally, the relationships among these factors, the universality and particularity of these factors, and the mechanism of these factors were analyzed thoroughly in the paper to give insight to the development of theme parks.
