THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTEGRATED CAPABILITY IN THE EDUCATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL ART DESIGN

The education of environment art design has not been carried out in China for long, and the capabilities it aims to develop are still quite vague. However, market awareness, aesthetic ability, design ability and culture understanding ability should be considered and strengthened. Market awareness is the basis of acquiring other abilities, thus should be paid great attention to; aesthetic ability is the premise of developing independent study ability and design ability, which should be practiced during the training process; design ability is the core of environment art design education. It should not be confined to the training of the application of software and other simple skills, and the design methods should never be the essence of environment art design; culture understanding ability provides the source for the vitality of design works, and it is based on the understanding of one's own culture that one can receive a complete education of environment art design.
