Experimental Research on the Lubricant Samples in a Reverse Cold Strip Rolling Mill

摘要
The experiments of cold rolling lubrication technology for St12 strip steel with 4 cold rolling lubricant samples A, B, C, and D were carried out in a 4-High reversing cold rolling mill. The effects of the cold rolling lubricant samples on the rolling force, strip surface reflectivity, surface temperature of strip and rolls under the same rolling condition were analyzed. The relationship between rolling force and rolling speed was analyzed also. The friction coefficients were calculated from the measured rolling force data and rolling parameters data by a mathematical model. The sequence of good lubrication capacity for the lubricant samples was B, C, D and A. The sequence of good cooling capacity was lubricant sample A, C, D and B. The sequence of good strip surface reflectivity was lubricant sample B, D, C and A. Experimental results have important theoretical and practical significance on the development and evaluation of rolling oil, optimization of rolling lubrication process parameters and improvement of strip steel surface quality.
