摘要
Objective: To investigate the expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated agonist receptor gamma (PPAR gamma) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kappa B) in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and their correlation with tumor lymph node metastases and pathological stages. Methods: The cancer tissues and nodular goiter tissues collected from 88 PTC patients, who were diagnosed in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2017, were assigned to study and control groups. The expression levels of PPAR gamma and NF-kappa B in the cancer tissues and nodular goiter tissues were detected using an immunohistochemical staining method, and their correlation with the pathological features of PTC was analyzed. Results: The positive expression rates of PPAR gamma were 67% (59/88) and 32% (28/88) in the FTC tissues and nodular goiter tissues, respectively, and those of NF-kappa B were 85% (75/88) and 27% (24/88) in the PTC tissues and nodular goiter tissues, respectively, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was a significant difference in the expression level of PPAR gamma in the cancer tissues of PTC patients with various pathological stages and lymph metastases (P<0.05). The expression level of PPAR gamma was significantly different in the PTC patients with various pathological stages, tumor infiltration degrees and lymph node metastases (P<0.05). The expressions of PPAR gamma and NF-kappa B were positively correlated in the FTC patients (P<0.05). Conclusions: The expression levels of PPAR gamma and NF-kappa B see a rising trend in patients with PTC. The expression level of PPAR gamma is correlated with the pathological stages and lymph node metastases of the PTC patients, and the expression level of NF-kappa B is correlated with pathological stages, tumor infiltration degree and lymph node metastases of the PTC patients. The expressions of PPAR gamma and NF-kappa B are positively correlated in the PTC patients.
