摘要
Rapidly changing career opportunities and increased employment opportunities for computer professionals are creating turmoil for academicians and practitioners alike. Holland's theory of career choice was applied to 81 computer information system (CIS) majors, to determine their personality types and vocational aspirations. information systems majors were found to be enterprising artistic and investigative. CIS graduate and undergraduate students had similar personalities, while males and females differed only on the social measure. Holland's model is a useful tool when considering employment and job satisfaction in the computer information systems discipline.
