摘要
An improved two-dimensional direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm is proposed for three-parallel nested arrays. To achieve a balanced estimation, array aperture is extended from two aspects, that is, virtual difference coarray construction of nested arrays and sparsely displaced parallel arrays. A new DOA extended matrix is formed by fully utilizing the auto-covariance and cross-covariance matrix among subarrays. Finally, a reduced dimensional estimation method is proposed without spectral search. Simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
