摘要：
The paper presents data on development and standardization of a modified version of the Allport-Vernon-Lindzey questionnaire "Study of values" based on E. Spranger's typology. The author argues necessity of replacing the dated wording of the original test with questions which reflect specificity of Russian culture and the socio-cultural context of contemporary society, demonstrating the questionnaire's potential for measuring value preferences determining professional orientation.
