A Novel Optical Design of the in-plane switching LC cell for wide viewing angle

摘要
We propose an optical configuration of a horizontal-switching liquid crystal cell for wide viewing angle by using two +C-plates and a single A-plate. The optical design of the proposed configuration was performed on a Poincare sphere. From the calculation, we confirmed that the proposed configuration provides an excellent contrast ratio.
