Rational water heating by solar energy

The amount of fossil fuels in the world is limited, therefore it is important to look for another kind of energy resources like renewable ones - solar, wind, wave, running water, geothermal and biomass energy. For domestic water heating by solar energy usually flat plate solar collectors are used. The more common way to use the flat plate solar collectors is to place them on the roof of a house. But in this case only the part of solar radiation is absorbed. The article deals with the attempt of the authors to create a kind of solar domestic heating equipment, economically more profitable in the weather conditions of the Baltic States. It is recommended in solar water heating systems to use the mirror-collectors, which are able to increase the heat yield considerably.
