Direct Leadership in the Army of the Czech Republic: Competency to lead others for the graduates of the Faculty of Military Leadership

摘要
The purpose of this paper was identifying the frequencies of applying the communication competency of leaders in the level of direct leadership in the Army of the Czech Republic. The managing of communication skills is connected with required social competencies of military leaders. In the research part method of quantitative research by using the unstandardized questionnaire research technique was used. This is a self-assessing test of competencies of leadership in the army of the Czech Republic. The results of applied method describe the level of and differences of communication competency by each participant. The research sample consisted of a total 49 military graduates of Faculty of military leadership in University of Defence in Brno from year's 2014-2016 who were immediately assigned to a Military service placement. They are determined to serving in the direct leadership in Army of the Czech Republic. These are partial results of research which were conducted. The results are going to be applied for suggestion and recommendation to increasing the readiness of graduates of the University of Defence to manage the post of army leader immediately after graduation. The results are discussed in the context of the training of military leaders under the auspices of Ministry of Defence in the Czech Republic.
