摘要
Trimetal nitride (M3N) fullerenes play a special role among the endohedral fullerenes due to a high abundance in the soot extract and the ability to stabilize non IPR fullerenes [1, 2]. The recent analysis of endohedral Sc3N@C-80 fullerene revealed a crucial role of the Sc3N cluster for the overall stability [3]. This work was now extended to other M3N@C-80 structures with uniform and mixed metal clusters, where M = Y, Tb, Ho, and Er. FTIR spectra confirmed the preference of trimetal nitrides to the I-h-C-80 isomer. Moreover our data point to a strong influence of the metal on the structure of the endohedral clusters and the stability of the clusterfullerenes as a whole.
