Test beam results of the quartz fibre calorimeter for the H1 luminosity

摘要
To measure luminosity after HERA upgrade in 2000/2001, the HL collaboration has chosen to build a tungsten/quartz-fibre Cerenkov calorimeter. The detector, completed in 1999, was tested at CERN-SPS shortly afterwards. The design of the detector is explained, and results of tests are shown.
