Visualisation of the heart during bone scintigraphy in a patient with prostatic cancer

摘要
We report on an 89 year old patient with prostata cancer who underwent bone scintigraphy. During this procedure the myocardium had an abnormal uptake of T(c)99 m MDP. The scintigram showed complete visualisation of the heart without any other concentration in the bones. The patient did not have any major heart abnormality nor had he had any previous treatment with electrocardioversion, chemotherapy or medication. Abnormal radiopharmaceutical uptake in the heart is rare. It can occur in patients having had recent electrocardioversion, treatment with Doxorubicin or myocardial infarction.
