摘要
Tool life optimization is in constant evolution; so many researchers have focused applied different measuring techniques for the tool wear because plays a significant role in the control and improvement of product during machining operations, in real time. Titanium alloys are widely used in many industries of strategic interest as aerospace sector, in the manufacturing of parts with a good strength to weight ratio. These alloys usually show a poor machinability, due to their low thermal conductivity and modulus of elasticity, which may increase the cutting temperature and make the tool breakage more likely. This paper presents a methodology for the tool wear monitoring by using the analysis of cutting forces during dry machining of Titanium alloys. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
