摘要
This paper presents some selected aspects of the functional safety analysis of programmable control and protection systems in hazardous installations. This analysis contains determining the safety integrity level (SIL) of defined safety functions based on a step by step hazard analysis and risk assessment as well as the verification of this level for the electrical/electronic/programmable electronic system (E/E/PES) or the safety instrumented system (SIS) of the architectures considered. A new knowledge-based approach for these purposes is proposed and outlined. The relevant knowledge-based system being a complex software package consisting of several modules, the user interfaces and databases for documenting the results is described.
