Acoustic radiation force on a fluid sphere in standing zero-order Bessel beam tweezers

摘要
An expression is given for the radiation force on a fluid sphere placed on the axis of an ideal acoustic standing zero-order Bessel beam propagating in an ideal (nonviscous) fluid. The expression uses the partial-wave (Rayleigh) series. The standing zero-order Bessel beam is characterized by the half-cone angle beta of its plane wave components where beta= 0 gives the limiting case of standing plane waves. A standing acoustic field is the result of propagating two equi-amplitude zero-order Bessel beams in opposite directions. An. example is treated for a compressible red blood cell (treated as a fluid sphere) in a zero-order Bessel standing wave.
