摘要
Human Systems Integration investigates human strengths and weaknesses from a body of growing knowledge called Human Factors (HF) and pair these dynamics with system safety features that are complementary. For example, humans with their large associative memories and seemingly limitless data storage capacities are adept at pattern recognition, be it speech, faces, or distorted images to make complex analogies to incident pre cursers. Physical computer systems currently are not as capable in this regard; however, they outperform humans in complex computational capacities. The objective of this paper is to introduce human systems engineering concepts and implement tools from Human Systems Integration (HSI) focusing on the direct benefits HSI offers to controlling risk and subsequently prevent loss. In conclusion, the study describe some of the HSI process as it relates to safety and risk management, as well as introduce some HSI tools and demonstrate their use in applied settings for the design and safe operation of complex technological systems in the future.
