Islamic Perspective of Modern Bio-ethical Issues

Though Islam is one of the leading religions in the world, scholarship on Islamic bioethics is in its infancy. Every ethical deliberation in Islam is directed under the guidance of the Holy Quran, Hadith, the traditions of the prophet and Shar'ia, the Islamic law. This paper presents an overview of Islamic perspectives on some of the bioethical issues like homosexuality, birth control, euthanasia, organ transplantation, surrogacy, stem cell research and cloning.
