摘要
The case study methodology is a teaching resource widely applied in social sciences to develop skills for analyzing complex situations where quantitative and qualitative data and uncertainty are mixed up with the preferences of decision makers. All this, together with the ability to develop skills, explains the reason for its expansion and the increasing interest in the academic field, particularly, in higher education. Regarding the purpose of this paper, it has two main aims: firstly, to analyze the case study elaboration with some singularities provided in order to improve its attractiveness for competencies, as well as a pedagogical tool to combine theory and practice. Secondly, it shows an overview of the results obtained in the satisfaction and the performance of students with the application of this methodology in the particular case of postgraduate studies. The results have been positive, prompting a high degree of debate and interest from the group. Furthermore, from the comparison of academic results in the most recent courses, there is a positive development in terms of student satisfaction with the development of in-class teaching and the learning process.
