摘要：
IP multicast has been developed for decades. However, not many applications arc built based on it, although the need of multicast is blooming. Recently, researchers begin to work on a new multicast infrastructure on application-layer so as to overcome the problems of IP multicast. Many Application Layer Multicast (ALM) is available now. In this article, we discuss some aspects of ALM, which will help people who want to design new ALM.
