A Hybrid Method for Ocean Surface Wind Retrieval from Polarization SAR Image

摘要
To improve C-2PO method for retrieving ocean wind vector from fully polarimetric SAR images, a hybrid method for ocean surface wind retrieval from polarization SAR images is presented in this paper. Based on the CP model and C-2PO method, the wind speed and wind direction retrieved from C-2PO method are regarded as initial guess parameters of CMOD5. n. OS characteristic of VVH. is explored to determine upper bound and lower bound of searching range of wind speeds and directions. The wind speed and direction input into CMOD5. n which get smallest discrepancy of NRCS between calculated value and real value from SAR image, are the final retrieving results of our hybrid method. Results show that the accuracy of retrieved wind speeds are largely depend on reconstruction images scales by using both C-2PO method and CP model. But our hybrid method has higher accuracy of retrieval wind speed and direction than those of C-2PO method in most part of reconstruction image scales.
