摘要：
Meniscal resection often leads to degeneration of the joint. Future developments in the treatment of meniscal injury will likely be directed to improve on current fixation techniques, stimulate biologic healing, and improve on current allograft replacements. Tissue engineering is very attractive as a potential means to create a sophisticated meniscal replacement.
