摘要：
This research aims to explore the suitable approaches and strategies to reach a livable city in the planning of a historical town. This study first explores the relationship between the connotation of a livable city and historical town planning. Second, the idea of historical town planning which is based on the livable city principle has been put forward. Third, the research implemented the idea of livable urban development, combined urban characteristics, and explores the possible approaches and strategies of achieving the livable city in Luzhi town. In the end, the study concludes the contradictions and conflicts of achieving a livable city in Luzhi town.
