ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND ECONOMIC SUPPORT OF REGIONAL ENERGY POLICIES

In EU countries, including Slovakia, are priorities of country in line with regional priorities. The starting points are documents 20-20-20 Europe, EU energy policy, Climate and energy package, Energy Policy SR, The concept of usage of region RES, the relevant legislation. The aim of regional authorities is to reconcile economic development of the region with nature conservation and the environment and in the area of resources go mainly to renewable energy sources. Their use can contribute to job creation, regional development and environmental recovery. We conclude that in Slovakia there is an excessive effort to adapt the electricity production to world standards and national legislation, as well as reduce emissions and serve to perpetuate the environment for future generations. These activities we notice also in the area of eastern Slovakia. Therefore there is big effort to use potential of renewable resources in the region in the fullest extent possible. This project supports these efforts.
