Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of ZVI dosage, the initial U(VI) concentrations, initial solution p H, reaction time, and temperature on U(VI) removal with zero-valent iron (ZVI). It was demonstrated that U(VI) was removed effectively from solution. ZVI dosage, the initial U(VI) concentrations and initial solution pH have great effect on the removal of U(VI), and the 0.05g/50ml ZVI dosage, p H=4 can be best, which can get a 98.3% removal, while the effect of temperature is quite small.
