The effect of nonionic surfactant on nucleation kinetics of new phase

摘要：
The effect of nonionic surfactant Triton X-305 on calcium carbonate crystallization from aqueous solutions is studied. The relationship between the induction period, during calcium carbonate formation from supersaturated solutions, and the surfactant concentration is nonmonotonic; there is some optimum surfactant concentration corresponding to the maximum induction period. For the given supersaturation value, the smallest particles are formed in micellar solutions.
