Nucleation and crystallization of a Mg-Si-Al-O-N glass studied by differential thermal analysis

摘要
An oxynitride glass of composition MgO0.11SiO0.32Al0.28ON0.11 has been prepared and its crystallisation mechanism has been studied using Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA). The temperature of maximum nucleation rate is 908.9 degreesC. The crystallisation activation energy was determined using Ozawa, Kissinger and Augis-Bennett methods.
