Magnetization measurements in the temperature range 4.2 K to 300 K were carried out on [Dy(50 angstrom)/Fe(t(Fe))](20) multilayers grown by dc magnetron sputtering. From the saturation magnetization, it was inferred that the Dy layers are superparamagnetic due to their nanocrystalline nature. Zero field cooled and field cooled magnetization measurements also confirmed this behaviour. The coercivity of the sample with t(Fe) = 20 angstrom is much larger than the other samples due to partially ferromagnetic Dy layers.
