摘要
Firstly, the usefulness of simulation models as tools for the estimation of hydrologic records in small rural ungaged watersheds is pointed out. Next, the deterministic model of the University of Kentucky (DMUK), developed in 1972, is described in detail, as well as the adaptations made for its application. Then, the general characteristics of nine small rural watersheds processed, located in four hydrologic regions of the country, with very different hydrologic records, are given. The validation and calibration tests performed with the DMUK model are described their results commented. Lastly, two conclusions are formulated in favor of the simplicity and utility of the model.
