摘要
The Territorial Development Strategy (EDT) is an interagency program involving the three levels of government: federal, state and municipal. It centers on the creation of interdisciplinary teams of technical assistance to Rural Development Districts (DDR) for the design, operation and implementation of a Territorial Strategic Project based in agrifood chains of economic importance in an area of rural development. The purpose of the EDT is to increase regional competitiveness by developing primarily human potential; therefore, it focuses on developing productive and organizational capacities of small and medium farmers participating in a given food chain (production-consumption) for their insertion in more dynamic markets. The aim of this study is to compare the actions taken in the EDT in Rural Development District 008 in Veracruz, Mexico, with a production-consumption chains management model.
