摘要
In this paper, I have reviewed several studies carried out by researchers in writing acquisition, mainly regarding unconventional segmentation in texts. Their corpora comprise texts written by children in various languages and in different varieties of a language, as well. This paper aims at showing the convergence which seems to characterize not only the segmentation process in writing, in general, and relate it to the notion of word, but also the relation that the acquisition process may establish with internalized phonological knowledge, mainly prosodic knowledge, as, based on these studies, we noticed the prosodic constituents have a significant influence on unconventional segmentation processes in the acquisition of initial writing of the languages analyzed. The observation and understanding of this process is extremely relevant not only for researchers in the field of language acquisition, but also for the professionals in the field of literacy, as the lectures in early years is constantly in contact with issues to be approached here.
