摘要
Ground clearance plays a very vital role in terms of electric vehicles specially when it is in a country like India where the road conditions are not that well, also where while constructing roads and speed bumpers ISI requirements are not followed. To achieve better range vehicle should have lower CG values to achieve which we need to be as close to ground as possible. But to maintain lower CG we need to have a tradeoff between CG and ground clearance. Keeping the electric vehicle ground clearance can also have impact on the safety of the vehicle as the HV battery box is mostly packaged under the body. In this paper we will talk about how to arrive on the minimum required ground clearance for an electric vehicle and how the HV battery box packaging needs to be while finalizing the vehicle architecture.
